yes upgrading from codeigniter to laravel is a very good decision as it will give you better performance and improved security with scalability.
but you have to consider following points:
laravel have totally different routing system Laravel used Eloquent ORM and blade templates File structure will change completely laravel has .env files rather than just PHP config files Migration will take a lot of time And a lot of the legacy code or libraries may not be available in laravel
And if you are still going to migrate this and need some help I can work with you on this project.
