YES! Definitely strict type and hinting whenever possible.

But then again Laravel's selling point is all the 'voodoo magic' that makes it possible to get a project quickly up and running. On one hand this is what has made Laravel so popular mainly for small to medium projects that need quick ramp up time but on the other hand makes your life hard once the application gets more complex and all the magic starts to rather work against you. Point being that I think a philosophy of all strict types and typehinting everywhere will not be easily possible in Laravel.
