I haven't found a package to help with this. Basically built out own set up. Take a look at dropzone.js. It's really good and much like jquery file upload, but a little more simple to impliment.
There are a few videos on the subject on YouTube.
In general, you will be better building your own set up with jq or dropzone. You have so much more control.
