It really depends on the project and how each data source needs to work. Also, what do you mean by data source? Some sort of json api? If so, you might want to take a look at Angularjs. Again, depending on your needs, you might not even need Laravel to handle the data.

You really need to explain a little more about the project if you can, and let us know what you need to do.
