You will get good DevOps practise too.

Hostgator works just fine for what I need. About $7 per month.

Any reason localhost is not suitable if it's just for testing purposes? I doubt you will find any free service which is good, I think all will have some kind of restriction(s) in place which will get in your way.

For me it's ok but i want to show it to somebody else. I have webspace but they are on PHP5.3 :/
