Hi, folks.

First, thank you @longilineo. I will try make the 'sudo' alias to sudo my alias. Good point!

My problem was with the Composer. I got there and did a git pull and updated the Composer. Then the "curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | php " command. After that, "php composer.phar install".

Then, with composer updated, the "composer create-project laravel/laravel my_project_name --prefer-dist" worked like a charm.
