  1. You would need to either download the dependencies through an online system and then copy them over to the offline system, or you would need to run a local mirror of Packagist, this guide explains how.

  3. Look at the directory size after install is complete

  4. Unless your production environment is Windows then there is no reason for you to be running your code in a windows environment even during development: virtual machines! If your production environment is windows... there is a Windows installer for composer: https://getcomposer.org/doc/00-intro.md#installation-windows
