the first few lines of my /etc/hosts file looks like:

127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 richard-MacBookPro 192.168.10.10 advisementcec.local 127.0.0.1 phpmyadmin.app

typing in the url phpmyadmin.app:8000 loads the laravel app, while phpmyadmin.app loads the standard localhost page
