I'm not sure I follow. The video is all about using the Eloquent model to access a database table.

What do you mean without ORM? .... you don't want to use Eloquent?

Yes, But he hasn't used any migrations just yet, but in the documentations it's different. So when i tried to study these two things at the same time, it didn't make sense. And I've found out why i had a problem, it seems the model name and the table name have a specific naming convention(That which i found out from trying out different things) and now, i made it work out!
